SEO is standing on Search Engine Optimization which is the first thing that you have to learn for your blog.
Only by reading tons of articles you can’t do anything. You have to implement them on your blog. You have to make something wrong. Otherwise you can’t learn that properly. No! I am not kidding. This is real fact.
Why should you learn/implement SEO in your blog/post/page?
Everyone wants to get millions of visitors on his/her blog. After all it inspires us very much. There is no other thing except this which could force us to write more and more articles. But only article writing is also not enough. Above all, there is a term, call SEO.
SEO starts with Keyword but do you know what actually “Keyword” is? It’s okey. This is not your problem at all.
What is Keyword?
In a simple term, Keyword is that particular word which is typed on Google or other search engine pages to get something. For example, suppose you want to download some Computer Games from any website. So, what is the regular process to download that? People always go to google.com and type “best free computer games” and hit enter to get results. This method will help you to download so many computer games.
Meanwhile, I would like to say that you have typed a keyword on google.com to get computer games.
So, you must need to do keyword research. Suppose, you have written a post on “Best WordPress themes of 2013”. Here, the quoted phrase should be your keyword and you should optimize your post on that keyword.
How to get Keyword ideas?
It depends upon you. Make a search on Google for whatever you are thinking and related to your blog topic. You will get hundreds of relevant results on different search engines like Google, Bing, AOL, Yahoo etc.
What is a keyword Optimized Post?
There is nothing difficult. At first you should determine what your keyword would be. Then try to use that in following area;
- Your post title
- On the first line of your post
- In the body
- In Alt Text of images
- In URL
- In Meta description
Apart from that you should also take care of following things;
Keyword should be attributed by <b>, <i> etc. means you should make your keyword bold and italic. You can do so for only once.
Try to write your post above 300 words except Post Title and Excerpt. Means only post content should be above 300 words. How much it is, the better.
Try to maintain 2-3% of keyword density.
What is keyword density and how to check this?
This is also easy task. There are two kind of terms i.e. Keyword Density (Example:- Computer) and KeyPhrase/Long Tail Keyword (Example:- Computer Games). But use of both is same like aforementioned.
Bonus Tips:- KeyPhrase is better than Keyword to attract more visitors.
How to check Keyword density?
(Number of time you have written the keyword/Total number of word in your post content) * 100
How to check KeyPhrase density?
(Number of time you have written the keyword * Number of words that your keyPhrase has / Total number of word in your post content) * 100
Bonus Tips: This is must to decide keyword or keyPhrase before writing a post.
Don’t try to do keyword stuffing. Means, your post should not be convered with only your keyword or keyphrase in order to make it SEO friendly. Instead of that, you ought to write a great content. So, how long your post would be, the better it is.
